Scaffold Trainer/Project Co-Ordinator

I began scaffolding in 2011 as a 19-year-old spanner hand. With no site experience, no real understanding of the industry, and I sure hadn’t been 40 metres in the air in a harness erecting scaffold to replace a pipe spool!

What I did have though was a passion to learn. I was driven by the unknown, what would the next day bring.

Scaffolding & rigging has taken me all over New Zealand and Australia, onshore and on offshore rigs & platforms, the experiences I have shared, the people I have met.

Scaffolding is more than a job, it really is a lifestyle. Its physical, challenging, and it not only engages the body but the mind as well, through problem solving. Born and raised in Taranaki, I travel around our Maunga daily because the nature of our industry allows that.

I am an example of what hard work, commitment and a passion to learn can do for somebody, from that 19-year-old spanner hand to now co-ordinating multiple projects and the best part for me is I am now in a position to give back through my role as the DIALOG Fitzroy Scaffold Trainer. If this sounds like you, or something you may be interested in, as well as being paid to learn our trade then DIALOG is definitely the right company to assist you with that.
