DIALOG Fitzroy has been commissioned to carry out a Front End Engineering Design (FEED) study for the conversion of two existing storage tanks to commercial storage of jet fuel.
This is the first such project the refinery is undertaking as part of its restructure to move from the refining of fuels to a storage terminal. Our scope of work for the FEED study includes the redesign of the tanks to take aluminium Geodesic Domed roofs instead of floating roofs, maintenance to the tanks, new piping infrastructure, pumps, valves and E&I infrastructure that will move product between these tanks, other jet fuel tanks on site, and the main pipeline to Auckland.
DIALOG Fitzroy Solution
DIALOG Fitzroy have an experienced engineering team in New Zealand who work closely with our construction and fabrication specialists to ensure we engineer for constructability. This results in efficient and methodical site construction later and it is hoped that the FEED study will convert into the EPC contract to carry out the work going forward. The design work will be carried out between our own engineering team in New Plymouth, local consultants and Dialog Engineering in Malaysia.
