DIALOG Fitzroy were chosen to provide engineering, supply and erection of access scaffolding and encapsulation to allow refurbishment of these dairy production facilities. The project involved a complete replacement of external/internal cladding, structural repairs and strengthening (where required) to ensure pathogen & weather tightness of two production buildings. The weather barrier encapsulation provided by DIALOG Fitzroy enabled up to 200 contractors to simultaneously carry out the huge amount of work required to ensure that the strict hygiene requirements of the project were met.
DIALOG Fitzroy Solution
This was a mammoth project and it called for a company with depth of personnel and capacity to handle the considerable amount of up front engineering required. For the top roof sections of this scaffolding we chose Layher’s Keder (PVC roof sheet) Roof System weather protection solution which is ideally suited this type of application. The Keder Roof System’s lightweight aluminium construction made it easy to handle and significantly reduced assembly and disassembly times when compared to traditional protection methods. It also offered a safer construction methodology in that it allowed us to assemble roof sections on the ground and lift into place using our own cranes. The Keder system was a perfect match for the balance of the 300 tonnes of Layher System scaffolding we employed.
The DIALOG Fitzroy scope was extended significantly to involve additional scaffolds, mechanical fabrication, and onsite construction. The cranage and rigging was also led by DIALOG Fitzroy.
